Premium32 Vintage was founded in January 2022 by Matthew Birken, a vintage enthusiast who turned his love for old-school sportswear into a mission to connect people with hats they truly love. What began with selling secondhand clothes on eBay quickly evolved into a deep passion for vintage hats—from rare team scripts to nostalgic pieces that spark memories.

After rediscovering the joy of wearing a vintage New York Yankees hat his father gave him years ago, Matthew realized how powerful that connection can be. He built Premium32 Vintage around that feeling—helping others find their next favorite hat at a fair price, whether it’s a rare grail or an everyday classic.

Driven by a genuine love for the vintage hat community, Matthew also runs a YouTube channel dedicated to cleaning, restoring, and reviving hats from the past—keeping the culture alive and accessible for collectors and newcomers alike.
